hi,i just pledged for India Pakistan peace and unity!
Given the current global scenario where nearly 76% of the world is in some state of conflict, it is important to bring together people and strive for peace. Films, music and television have the power to influence and change mind-sets across the world.
In 2015, Zee launched a unique peace initiative - ZEAL FOR UNITY which aims to bring together nations in conflict through their creative thought leaders. This is in tune with the brand’s philosophy of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' which means 'The World Is My Family.'
To kick off this initiative, acclaimed film makers from India and Pakistan are coming together for the very first time to showcase their work on a single platform and facilitate an apolitical exchange environment to strive for peace and harmony. This is just the beginning and will be followed with Initiatives by other creative thought leaders who aim to facilitate a creative exchange of ideas.
There will be events in both the countries to promote our work which gives us a wider audience. I’m looking forward to this cultural exchange
For me the Partition was one of the biggest tragedies of the millennium. The endeavor is our way of making people realize that we are still one.
Zeal For Unity is a one of a kind Initiative and it is the first time something like this is being done and not been done.
It’s a rare opportunity provided. It should be interesting if people fail to tell which film is from India and which from Pakistan
Cinema is definitely a great way to reach out to people across boundaries and cultures.
Cultural exchange is the only way to understand each other
As a country Pakistan has so many stories to tell and we can learn so much from the artists.
It’s an initiative to bring people together, and one of the best ways to reach people is through cultural similarities
Art and culture have the unprecedented power to bring people together

Aaghaz-e-Dosti or start of friendship is an initiative started by India-based Mission Bhartiyam and Pakistan-based The Catalyst; to enhance relations between the people of the two countries.
Every year, Aaghaz-e-Dosti launches an Indo-Pak Peace Calendar that features peace based paintings by students from both sides of the border.
These paintings are a reflection of the shared dreams and hopes of these innocent and apolitical young minds. This year, Aaghaz-E-Dosti partnered with Zeal for Unity, to promote their shared values and vision.
